Make the room list specific to your centre
Record activity-room floors, cleared tables, entry areas, washroom fixtures, staff rooms and agreed waste points. Rooms with different uses may require different tasks and responsibilities.
- Classroom and activity-room floors
- Cleared tables and agreed accessible surfaces
- Child and staff washroom fixtures
- Entry areas, office and staff spaces
Agree who handles learning and personal items
Toys, books, sleep equipment, children’s belongings and food-related items are not automatically included. The centre identifies the task, method and responsible person before any such work is agreed.
Keep cleaning and disinfection requirements clear
A request for disinfection must name the relevant surfaces and the centre’s requirements for assessment. Routine cleaning should not be presented as a health guarantee or a substitute for the centre’s own policies.
Plan around last pickup and first arrival
Provide the actual closing and opening times, any occupied evening room and the permitted entry route. The schedule must leave appropriate time before rooms are used again.
Use a walkthrough without sharing children’s information
Bring the room list, floor materials, washroom count and current staff responsibilities. Do not upload children’s names, photographs, attendance records or entry codes to the enquiry form.
